ADVGuide is a location-aware mobile application that provides geofenced audio tours. Users download the app from Google Play or the Apple App Store, purchase tours, download tour content, and run tours while riding. Our website, ADVGuide.us, provides product information and may support user accounts and management features in the future.

We are committed to handling information responsibly and in accordance with applicable laws and platform requirements.

Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to:

  • The ADVGuide mobile application (Android and iOS)
  • The ADVGuide.us website
  • Our communications with users and customers
  • Our backend systems and operational processes

This Privacy Policy does not override any contractual confidentiality obligations, including NDAs or service agreements. Where a contract imposes stricter requirements, the contract governs.

3. In-App Purchases

Purchases made through Google Play or the Apple App Store are processed by the respective platform. We receive confirmation of purchase and entitlement information but do not receive your full payment details.

4. Location Information

ADVGuide uses precise location data to deliver geofenced audio tours.

When location is collected:

  • Only during an active tour
  • A tour must be manually started and manually ended by the user
  • Background location is used solely to detect geofence triggers and deliver tour audio while the tour is running
  • Location is not collected when the app is closed or when no tour is active

How location is used:

  • Triggering geofenced audio
  • Determining tour progress
  • Improving accuracy and performance
  • Diagnostics and product improvement

What we do NOT do:

  • We do not sell location data
  • We do not use location data for third-party marketing
  • We do not collect location continuously in the background outside of active tours

Location collection depends on device settings and permissions. Disabling location may prevent tours from functioning.

5. Technical, Usage, and Diagnostic Information

We may collect technical and usage information such as:

  • Device type, OS version, app version
  • Performance metrics
  • Error logs and crash information
  • Feature usage patterns
  • Server-side logs for diagnostics and product improvement

We currently use custom backend logs and do not use third-party analytics vendors. If we add one in the future, this policy will be updated.

6. Website Information and Cookies

ADVGuide.us may collect:

  • Pages viewed
  • Time spent on the site
  • Referring URLs

When user accounts are introduced, we may use:

We do not use marketing cookies at this time.

We do not:
